This is the sequel to The Wild Robot. After being captured at the end of the first book, Roz the robot is taken to a farm, where she is forced to work for humans. Though she helps with chores and even forms bonds with the farmer’s children, Roz longs to return to her island home and the animal friends she left behind. Her journey is full of danger, adventure, and self-discovery, as Roz must decide what kind of life she truly wants — one of obedience to humans, or one of freedom and belonging among the wild creatures who accepted her as family.
