Jogja: situs-situs marjinal = sanctuaries retrouves = sites out of sight

Sasono, M. Rizky - Personal Name; Ardyanto, Ferry - Personal Name; Elbaz, Jean-Pascal - Personal Name;

Among its many admirers, Java has Jean-Pascal Elbaz, who is at the origi of this guidebook project. He partners with an Indonesian artist, Agung Kurniawan, as well as with students of archeology and snthropology. Together they explored one by one all of those forgotten sites, gathered the extrvagant legends from villagers of the surroundings and noted, with great precision, the directions to reach there places. Instead of photography they have chosen draawing, which confines the sites neither in time nor in frame, leaving them to take shape in the imagination of each visitor.
